Anonymous analytics

Visiting this site does not create a marketing profile of you. We measure traffic with Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that is cookie-free and does not track you across other websites. It tells us which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from — in aggregate, never as an identifiable person.

GDPR compliant — no cookie banner

Because we set no tracking cookies and collect no personal tracking data, there is nothing to ask your consent for, and so you will not see a cookie banner. Privacy is simply the default for every visitor. If that ever changed, we would update this page and ask for consent first.

What we collect

Anonymous usage data through Plausible, as described above. No advertising pixels, device fingerprinting, session replay, behavioural profiling or tracking cookies are used anywhere on this site.

Information you send us. If you email us or follow a contact link to Ice Tea Group, we receive whatever you choose to share — typically your name, email address, company and message.

Technical request data. Our hosting provider processes standard web-server information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, the page requested, a timestamp and basic browser details, including security and abuse-prevention logs.

How we use information

We use the information you send only to respond to you and to keep ordinary business records. Anonymous analytics are used to understand aggregate traffic and improve the content. Technical data is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and troubleshoot problems.

We do not sell personal data, share it for advertising, or combine it with tracking profiles.

Cookies & your theme preference

This site sets no tracking, advertising or analytics cookies. The only thing it stores in your browser is your light / dark / auto theme choice, kept in localStorage under the key wai-theme. That preference stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Under GDPR and the ePrivacy rules, a consent banner is only required for non-essential storage that identifies or tracks you. We use none, so none is shown.

Legal basis

For visitors in the EU and UK: when you contact us, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to you (and on taking steps at your request prior to any agreement, where relevant). For technical request data, we rely on our legitimate interest in operating and securing this website.

Retention

Messages you send are kept for as long as needed to respond and to maintain reasonable business records. Technical server logs are retained for a limited period for operational and security purposes, in line with our hosting provider's practices and our own internal policies.

Service providers

This site runs on Netlify for hosting and uses Plausible for analytics; correspondence may be handled through standard email providers. These providers process data only as needed to perform their service and are not permitted to use it for their own advertising or tracking purposes.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of the personal data we hold about you, as well as the rights to data portability and to object to certain processing. EU and UK visitors may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.
